Our transmission overhaul kits contain all the parts you need to do the job right.

Typically, the Overhaul kit includes Gaskets, Bearings, Small parts and control valve kits also all clutch discs and pump if required.

We are also able to supply Gasket Kit, Bearing Kit, Small Parts Kit, Control Valve if a repair rather than a complete overhaul is planned. It is important when contacting us that you provide information displayed on the Transmission Tag so that we can assess our parts software to ensure we supply the correct parts for your transmission.

We also offer Charge Pumps, Filters, valve bodies, solenoids and Oil Coolers.

Power Source recommend whenever a transmission is rebuilt or overhauled the oil cooler should be changed as even a thorough cleaning flushing process does not guarantee all debris is removed from the cooler as the internal cooler design is full of complex small passageways which can become partially blocked, our range includes coolers for Volvo Bus Truck & Construction, JCB, MAN, Scania as well as ZF and Voith.

Clearly the wear items within the transmission are bearings, clutches, separator plates, springs, thrust washers, gaskets and seals, but of course consideration should be given to the condition of the pump and torque converter.

We are able to offer dimensional examination of the charge pump to determine if the pump is able to produce the necessary pressure to enable the transmission to operate smoothly, in addition we will review the condition of the pump drive which is critical when mating with the torque converter , wear quite often is progressive and this may lead to damage to drive tangs on torque convertor resulting in loss of pressure and catastrophic failure.

We are also able to offer examination and testing of the torque converter in terms of its condition and with complete transmission diagnostic testing including parameters such as:

• Operating Pressure
• Torque Converter Pressure
• Pump Pressure
• Transmission Pressure

And when the transmission is changing, the pressure builds up or pressure drop.
